As a professional climber, I need muscular strength in my arms and legs, but also enormous mental strength: focus, willpower, inner calmness, stress resistance and stamina. These are exactly the skills I can improve and train with the Boulderball. At the same time, playing with the Boulderball is relaxing and helps me to relieve stress.

Michael Piccolruaz - Olympic athlete, professional climber

When climbing, I am always confronted with complex problems that seem unsolvable. That's where creativity is needed. How do I position my foot, with which hand do I take the hold? Trial and error lead me to my goal. With the Boulderball I can practice my creativity and find solutions in a playful way. It's like "handpocket climbing". While I only use my fingers for the Boulderball, I use my whole body on the climbing wall. I always need my head, and the same thing happens when I play and when I climb.

Angelika Rainer - world champion, professional climber

As a trainer, I like to look for ways to develop the children's skills in a playful way. Playing with the Boulderball is the ideal way. The children train their spatial thinking while building the 3D puzzle. While "climbing" the routes on the Boulderball, they playfully develop creative solutions and learn to solve complex problems with increasing difficulty. You can see their willpower, concentration and stamina improve. These are all skills that they also need when climbing on the wall or even in everyday school life.

Christoph Vonmetz - Climbing coach

About us

A strong & creative team

We, Joachim and Dieter, are friends since our childhood.

Both of us are tinkerers and have been thinking about developing a meaningful game for quite some time. Dieter, who spends every free minute on climbing walls, had the idea to switch up the theme of climbing. Immediately he told Joachim, who already had something in mind. Together they set out on the exciting path of developing a game for the fingers that sharpens the mind and the senses and at the same time has a connection to climbing. The Boulderball is born and thanks to the designer Martin the design is unmatched.

Joachim, the expert for mental and cognitive performance enhancement, masters playing with the Boulderball like no other. He is always developing new climbing routes and game ideas.

Dieter, the sports scientist and climbing expert, uses his profound knowledge in this field as well as his network of athletes and coaches to build up the Boulderball successfully.
